BROUGHTON PLANT HIRE & SALES

Broughton Plant Hire was formed in 1984 as a trading division of Michael Broughton Ltd and specialises in the hire and sale of plant and equipment to the mechanical, electrical, HVAC and fire protection industries.

Now established in the industry for almost 40 years Broughton Plant Hire & Sales ltd has a wealth of experience and expertise throughout the business from our trained drivers, engineers, and depot staff through to our hire desk and management team. This combined with our commitment to ensure that our customers receive the best service possible and a constant investment in our hire fleet has allowed us to build a reputation in the industry of supplying our customers with quality tools and equipment quickly and effectively.

What started in a small yard in east London now operates from four locations in the UK, head office and central hub in Romford Essex, South western depot in Clevedon Bristol, Midlands depot in Alfreton Derbyshire and our latest addition Teams Valley Newcastle. The depots are staffed and resourced locally, fully committed to training, and investing in regional communities.

Broughton Plant Hire and Sales ltd has a wide and extensive hire fleet of specialist M&E tooling, coupled with large stocks of general power tools, site security solutions and both powered and push around access equipment.

We operate a large fleet of vehicles ranging from our electric service vans to our HGV’s and we are committed to vehicle safety and all of the fleet is FORS Silver and CLOCS accredited.

Broughton Plant Hire & Sales ltd are the market leaders in the hiring, sales, servicing and maintenance of pipe press fitting tools. We are approved tool agents and calibration engineers for a number of press fit fitting manufacturers such as Geberit, Pegler Yorkshire, SANHA, Viega and IBP Conex.

We are a specialist supplier of low-level access equipment and operate and maintain a large fleet of drive and push around vertical lifts as well as podiums and towers. Here at Broughton’s we fleet and sell only the best equipment available and are proud to be associated with manufacturers such as Novopress, Ridgid, Youngman’s, Power Tower, Hilti, Genie, Armorgard … the list grows daily.

Due to the success and growth over the years, Broughton Plant Hire & sales became part of the Lifco group of companies in 2023. Lifco’s concept of investing and developing market leading sustainable businesses with the potential to deliver sustainable growth aligns with our goals to build on the work started by Michael Broughton all those years ago to further the growth and development of Broughton Plant Hire & Sales ltd.
